Kuwait’s Public Authority for Industry has implemented a mandatory operational suspension for industrial facilities during peak daylight hours. Factory and plant owners must cease work activities between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. throughout the summer months.
The directive aims to reduce energy consumption during periods of extreme heat and peak electricity demand. The measure is part of broader efforts to manage the nation’s power resources more efficiently during the hottest season.
The suspension period extends for four months, covering the entire summer season when temperatures reach their highest levels. Industrial operators are required to comply with the new scheduling requirements to support national energy conservation initiatives.
