Bahrain’s Parliament is set to review Decree-Law No 33 of 2025, which would approve a concession agreement for natural gas exploration in the kingdom’s Bahrain Field. The agreement covers the Juba and pre-Tawil reservoirs and involves three parties: the Bahraini government, Bapco Energies, and EOG Resources Bahrain Awali.
The concession arrangement represents a potential expansion of the country’s energy sector activities in one of its most significant reserves. The partnership brings together domestic and international expertise to develop previously untapped gas resources within the established oilfield.
Parliament’s debate and approval of the decree-law would mark a critical step in advancing the project. Success could position Bahrain to enter a new phase of energy production and economic development through enhanced natural gas operations.
