UAE Intercepts Iranian Missiles and Drones in First Attack Since Ceasefire

The United Arab Emirates intercepted a significant aerial assault originating from Iran, marking the first attack since a ceasefire agreement was established in early April. The UAE’s air defence systems successfully neutralized 12 ballistic missiles, three cruise missiles, and four drones during the coordinated attack.

An explosion occurred in Fujairah following the assault, resulting in three injuries. The incident prompted authorities to implement precautionary measures across the education sector to ensure public safety.

In response to the security situation, schools and universities across the UAE temporarily transitioned to online learning. The shift was implemented as a protective measure following the attack in Fujairah and the broader missile interception operation.

The attack represents a significant escalation in regional tensions and breaks the relative calm that had prevailed since the ceasefire took effect in April.
