Saudi Aramco and solutions by stc have jointly deployed a $372.5 million supercomputer designed to enhance the company’s upstream oil and gas operations. The advanced computing system represents a significant technological upgrade for Aramco’s exploration and production activities across the region.
The new supercomputer provides seven times greater computing capacity compared to existing systems currently used by Aramco’s upstream division. This substantial increase in processing power will enable the company to perform more complex calculations and analyses across its operations.
The investment aims to strengthen Aramco’s capabilities in seismic imaging and reservoir simulation. These enhanced technologies are expected to improve the speed and precision of hydrocarbon discovery and recovery efforts, supporting the company’s long-term operational objectives in Saudi Arabia.
